Inicialmente, pensou-se que o motorista teria sido vítima de uma tentativa de assalto, mas pelas imagens fica claro que o motivo foi a rápida discussão. 

No vídeo completo, no qual o Portal 96 teve acesso, é possível ver que o homem está com uma mulher e a filha pequena no carro. Ele passa pelo homem, sem maiores problemas. Faz o retorno em frente ao colégio e volta na mesma via, se deparando com o sujeito mais uma vez. 

Neste segundo encontro, é possível ver que a situação é diferente. O homem pede para o motorista reduzir a velocidade e parar o veículo. Ele acusa o motorista de ter batido nele. E aí começa a discussão. 

O motorista segue e, um pouco mais na frente, reduz novamente a velocidade. É aí que ele é surpreendido com o homem mais uma vez, que agora já aparece atirando. 

No vídeo completo, é possível ver que algumas pessoas chegam para ajudar. O motorista é retirado do banco do motorista e outra pessoa assume o volante. O motorista repete que o homem queria matá-lo e pede desculpas por ter sido atingido. A mulher tenta acalma-lo. O bebê chora. 

Até o momento, o autor dos disparos ainda não foi identificado e localizado.
